Buenos Aires, The Real City that Never Sleeps

June 27, 2016

buenosAiresHey, don’t cry for me, I just returned from the most cost-effective, fun-filled, and culturally stimulating vacation I’ve been on in a long time. In Argentina.

With the U.S. dollar still very strong there, Buenos Aires is simply a treasure of delights, at unbeatable prices.

For Argentine BBQ, La Cabrera (Cabrera 5099. Tel: 54-11-4831-7002), a parrilla, is an absolute must. The grilled lomo (filet mignon) is sublime, eliciting rave reviews. Try trendy Sucre for modern Argentinean cuisine and Osaka (Soler 5608. Tel: 54-11-4775-6964), for Japanese-Peruvian fusion. An extravagant dinner for two runs about $50 and restaurants serve well past midnight. (For night owls, Buenos Aires is heaven.)

Taxis are inexpensive and abundant. (Hint: the seasons are opposite North America’s). Visit Mobissimo.com for travel deals
